She’s here!!

Hey everyone!! We did it!!

After many hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of pushing, and finally a c-section Sydney Olivia was born last night at 9:14 pm!! The little bruiser weighed in at 10 pounds 7 ounces (11 days late!!) and is 22 inches long. Needless to say, she is a celebrity around the hospital!

We are all doing well and will probably go home on Monday. I hope to tell you the whole dramatic story soon!!

Love to you all!

You don’t know how many times I’ve checked Twitter and this site to see how everything was going. I think it borders on obsession. Congrats on finally getting to meet Sydney! She’s definitely a little bruiser — yeoutch! 10+ pounds!!! Be thankful for the c-section – I don’t know if your lady parts could recover from that. And LOVE the name – Sydney was one of our potential names for Ali — something to do with being in Sydney, Australia 9 months before she was born… 🙂 Here’s to a speedy recovery and successful breastfeeding!
